I first moved to the Virgin Islands in the late 80's when I accepted a teaching position at Frederick Lutheran School on St. Thomas. I continued to live and work in St. Thomas until a few months after hurricane Hugo. My husband and I moved back to the States, built a commercial sailing catamaran and started a charter boat company in Key West, FL. Over the next several years we kept coming back to St. Croix to continue to build more catamarans to add to our charter fleet. In 2010 we sold the business and later moved to St. Croix. I became involved with Eat @ Cane Bay the fall of 2015.
I have always loved this location and am very excited to make this a special restaurant again and to meet so many new people, both locals and visitors. My staff and I strive to provide quality food and drinks at a reasonable price and friendly customer service is very important to us.
We use as much locally grown produce as possible and have relationships with many local fisherman who bring us their daily catch. On any given day you will see fresh Mahi, Wahoo, lobster and conch (when in season). Our chef has been chosen for several years to represent the Virgin Islands on the local Culinary Team, and has had lots of success in the competitions.
Next time you are on island swing by and say hi. Have one of our refreshing drinks, a quick sandwich for lunch, or a delicious entree for dinner! You will not be disappointed.Kathy Eymann
